What is PRP?

Our chosen PRP device (Alocuro) has been carefully selected to provide a comprehensive PRP therapy system incorporating current clinical findings and validated research protocols. It utilises the generation technology delivering the highest number of healthy platelets that have been extracted from your own blood that contains high concentration of platelets, and bio-active protein that delivers a rejuvenation and regeneration benefits, providing consistent patients results.

How does it work?

Our qualified treating nurse collects your blood in the same way as a standard blood test is collected. The blood is then placed in a specialised TGA Approved Centrifuge Device, which separates the nutrient-rich plasma from the red blood cells.

A local anaesthetic cream is applied to the area, to ensure patient comfort and is well tolerated. The platelet rich plasma is then carefully injected back into the area of concerns using a sterile technique. From the time of arrival until completion it is usually takes approximately 1 – 2 hours in clinic. There is minimal downtime and patient can resume normal activities within 24-48 hours later.

Is PRP safe?

The procedure is provided under strict TGA guidelines to provide a procedure with minimal risks of complications. The PRP being injected back into the patients is from their own blood so there is little chance of a reaction.

When to expect results?
